World Uveitis Day is a global initiative established through a partnership of leading international uveitis and ophthalmology societies. The initiative is led by the International Ocular Inflammation Society (IOIS), which provides scientific leadership and global coordination to ensure excellence and credibility.
Founded by the Qatar Ophthalmology Society (QOS) and co-founded by the Saudi Ophthalmology Society (SOS), World Uveitis Day brings together international partners united by a shared commitment to raising awareness of uveitis, promoting early diagnosis, and improving access to timely and evidence-based care across the world.
The founding partnership also includes the International Uveitis Study Group (IUSG), the Foster Ocular Inflammation Society (FOIS), and the Middle East Africa Uveitis Society (MEAUS).
The initiative aims to continue expanding its global network of partners and collaborators to strengthen worldwide impact and improve outcomes for people living with uveitis.
